CheerClub connects two experiences: an iOS app for the runner and a lightweight web page for everyone cheering them on. No account or download is needed to send a cheer.

The runner plans a run
In the CheerClub iOS app, a runner sets their distance and start time — a 10K on Saturday morning, a marathon, or a Tuesday jog.

They share one link
Every run gets a private share link. The runner texts it to their mom, their group chat, their run club — anyone they want out there with them.

Supporters record cheers
The link opens a simple web recorder. Supporters record up to a minute of audio — pep talks, inside jokes, someone just yelling their name.

Cheers play mile by mile
During the run, the app tracks progress with GPS and plays a waiting cheer in the runner’s headphones at each half-mile marker — music ducks, the voice comes through, the miles melt.

Text messages, done the right way
CheerClub Alerts is our optional SMS notification program for supporters. It exists for one magical moment: telling you that the cheer you recorded just played in your friend’s ears, mid-run.
- 100% opt-in. After sending a cheer, supporters may enter their phone number in a clearly labeled form. Consent is never a condition of using CheerClub.
- Three message types. A text when your friend starts their run, a notification the moment your cheer plays, and an invitation when a runner you’ve cheered for schedules a new run.
- Easy out, real help. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe instantly, or HELP for assistance. Message & data rates may apply; message frequency varies.
- Never shared. Mobile numbers and opt-in data are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes — see our Privacy Policy and SMS program terms.

CheerClub is built by CPM AI, Inc., a San Francisco software company. We started CheerClub after watching friends train for months for race day, mostly alone. The fastest way to make a hard mile easier is a voice you love — so we built the plumbing to deliver one, exactly when it matters.

Questions, answered
Do supporters need to download anything to send a cheer?
No. A runner's share link opens a web page in any modern mobile or desktop browser. Supporters type their name, record up to a minute of audio, and hit send — that's it.
How does the runner hear cheers during the run?
The CheerClub iOS app tracks the run with GPS. Each time the runner crosses a half-mile marker, the next waiting cheer plays through their headphones. If music is playing, it ducks automatically and resumes afterwards.
What are CheerClub Alerts text messages?
An optional SMS program for supporters. If you opt in after recording a cheer, we text you when your cheer plays during the run, and when that runner schedules a new run. Message frequency varies and message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Full details are in our Terms and Privacy Policy.
Is my phone number shared with anyone?
No. Opt-in phone numbers are stored server-side only, used solely to deliver the notifications described above, and are never displayed to other users — including the runner you cheered for. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Who can see a run or listen to its cheers?
Only people who hold the run's private share link. Links use unguessable tokens and act as the access credential. Runners choose exactly who receives theirs.
Does CheerClub cost anything?
CheerClub is free for runners and supporters. For race organizers, run clubs, charities, and brands who want CheerClub at their events, contact our sales team for custom plans.
How do I delete my data?
Follow our user data deletion instructions to submit a verified request. Requests are honored as described in our Privacy Policy.
